Melik Brown received a double major B.A in Sociology and Afro-American Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Master of Education Degree with a concentration in School Leadership licensure program at Wilmington University. He has always been a strong advocate of lifelong learning, building and supporting students in low-income communities, and assisting students to become model citizens within their respected communities.

 

Born Melik Darrell Brown his Favorite former North Carolina football player is Lawrence Taylor. If it were anybody he would like to switch places with for a day it would be UNC Men’s Basketball Coach Roy Williams. His brother, Preston, is a former college and Professional wide receiver. The best thing about attending UNC was “getting a great education and the athletic experience”. Melik also played in both the Canadian Football League and the Arena Football, winning a national Championship with the Baltimore Mariners in 2010 compiling the best record in Arena Football history 16-0. Melik would go on to playing in 2 other Championship games with the AFL Philadelphia Soul coming up short both times.

Melik Finished his Career with the Trenton Freedom becoming their all time leader in both Rushing Yards and Touchdowns while being named 2 time All pro at Full back and Ironman.
